Renovation of an educational facility in Hanover Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
A Performance and Poyment Bond in the full amount of the contract will be required. A Bid Security of 10% of the Bid is required with the proposal. The Contractor must pay The Prevailing Wage Rotes for all work per Illinois Low. It is the policy of Community Consolidated School District 93 to provide equal opportunity to all qualified business in the awarding of contracts and accordingly promotes the utilization of diversified businesses to the maximum extent feasible in any contract issued against this solicitation to bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject ony or all Bids to waive irregularities in the bidding procedure, on accept the Bid that in its opinion will serve its best Interest. Any such decision shall be considered final The Owner reserves the right to set aside a Bid from a Contractor who, in the Owner's opinion, does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project. This Contract calls for the construction of a "public work, within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay labor ers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the current prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash woges plus amount for fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed.
