Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Irvington, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
ADA Ramp Improvement to the Police and Fire Buildings. The Proposal Form shall be accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee in the form of Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of 10% (ten percent) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable unconditionally to the owner. Check or Surety Company Bid Bond shall be made payable to the Township of Irvington, NJ. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Surety Performance Bond on a statutory form in the full amount of the contract or purchase order. The Proposal Form shall also be accompanied by a properly executed non-collusion affidavit. Bidders are also required to comply with other provisions of Law including, but not limited to, the requirements of: N.J.S.A. 34-11-56.25 regulating wages on Public Works, with the Equal Employment Opportunity Act Requirement of P.L. 1975 C127, Public Works Contractor Registration, N.J.S.A. 34.11-56.48 and N.J.A.C. 17-27 Affirmative Action and with the requirements of P.L. 1977 C33 regarding the submission of a list of all Stockholders or Partners owning more than 10% stock or interest in their Corporation or Partnership. This project is funded by Community Development Block Grant Funds as such Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related matters. Section 3 requirements apply to contracts of over $200,000. The provisions of the Federal Government Department of Labor's current wage rate determinations and the State's Prevailing Wage Act are requirements of this project. The higher of the Federal or State Wage Rate and the higher of the Federal or State Fringe Benefit Rate shall prevail. The Township reserves the right to waive any and all formalities or altogether reject all bids. Awards made under the process shall be made to those contractors whose bid is the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder. Unless otherwise provided, in any supplement to these instructions to bidders, no bidder shall modify, withdraw or cancel the proposal of any part thereof for sixty (60) days after the time designated for the receipt of bid in the advertisement or Request for Bids.
