Site work and paving for a road / highway in Paducah, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The scope of work will include the cutting & filling of embankments to meet grade requirements for a railroad yard expansion. Included in this scope, is a 60'x106' shop building that will also require subgrade preparation & installation of a concrete slab. Bidders who are pre-qualified contractors with the Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) in clearing & grubbing and cement base construction categories are invited to submit a sealed bid for the project. To obtain pre-qualification status, a bidder may contact KYTC-Construction Procurement at (502) 564-3500. The Paducah & Louisville Railway intends to award based on the lowest responsive bid, evaluated inconsideration of previous rail-road industry experience. The authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Statements of qualifications and proof of current KYTC pre-qualification for prime and all subcontractors, as well as a list of previous work experience, are required with sealed bids.
