Renovation of a transportation facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport ("CLT") intends to post a Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") for the rehabilitation of Runway 18L/36R and Taxiway D design. The scope of this work to be designed will include but is not limited to asphalt milling, paving, airfield electrical work, and pavement makings. Location: Pre-Proposal Meeting via Microsoft Teams (non-mandatory) The point of contact for all submissions and correspondence regarding this RFQ will be as follows: RFQ Project Manager - David Larson Email: David.Larson@cltairport.com, No interpretation or clarification regarding this RFQ will be made verbally to any Firm. Requests for interpretation or clarification must be submitted through the eBuilder Bid Portal Q&A board to the RFQ Project Manager. Question Deadline 09/04/2025 Another component of the program focuses on taxiway stubs, chiefly Taxiway Charlie 10 which will be demolished from its current location on the airfield and re-installed with 18" PCC structure as a highspeed taxiway exit. The proposed Taxiway C10 high-speed exit that will replace existing Taxiway C10 is located approximately 600 feet closer to the Runway 36R end at 6,300 feet from the threshold, updated to meet current FAA geometry standards for a 30-degree high-speed runway exit.
