Scope of Work: Providing the necessary materials, equipment, supervision, labor, and appurtenances to construct 9 new sanitary manholes, 16 cleanouts, approximately 12,700 LF of pipe bursting existing sanitary lines of varying sizes, rehabilitate existing manholes, and reattach existing sanitary sewer service connections and all appurtenances necessary for a complete sanitary sewer installation. This project will be federally funded by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Department through the Texas General Land Office (GLO) and administered by the Harris County Community Services Department (HCCSD). Bidders shall comply with regulations governing the CDBG Disaster Recovery Program (Regulation 24 CFR 570). Applicable requirements include but are not limited to compliance with the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, Fair Labor Standards, Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, and contracting with small, minority, and disadvantage firms, as detailed in the project manual. Accompany Bids with acceptable Cashier's or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, payable without recourse to the City, or a Bid Bond of like amount from an approved surety company, as a guarantee that bidder will enter into a contract. Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation: Providing the necessary materials, equipment, supervision, labor and appurtenances to construct 30 new sanitary manholes, 83 cleanouts, approximately 67,300 LF pipebursting existing sanitary lines of varying sizes, rehabilitate existing manholes, and reattach existing sanitary sewer service connections and all appurtenances necessary for a complete sanitary sewer installation. Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Rehabilitation: Replacement of two existing lift stations with 8-feet diameter (ID) duplex lift stations, including site work and all appurtenances to construct two fully functional lift stations and sites. Also includes the installation of a new 18" sanitary sewer gravity line down Keene Street. On request, Owner will provide each Bidder access to the site to conduct such investigations and tests as each Bidder deems necessary for submission of his Bid. Completion- (90) Calendar Days
