Question Submission Deadline: August 29, 2025, 5:00pm Question Response Deadline: September 4, 2025, 5:00pm All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted by electronic correspondence or in writing. Questions received less than four (4) days prior to the date for opening of the Bids may not be answered. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid Price must accompany each Bid in the form specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond guaranteeing faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract, and insurance as described in the Bid Documents. No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of forty-five (45) days after the date fixed for opening Bids. The City reserves the right to award the contract by sections, to reject any or all Bids, and to waive any informalities and irregularities therein. All Bidders agree that damage or claim shall not be brought by any Bidder because of rejections, nor shall the Bidders seek any recourse of any kind against the City because of such rejections. The filing of any Bid in response to this invitation shall constitute a binding agreement of the Bidder to these conditions. All Bids shall be prepared and submitted to City at the Bidder's expense, and all Bids become a City record and therefore a public record. Project Challenges and Site Details: The site is predominantly comprised of heavy clay soils, which may impact installation methods and drainage considerations. Permits will be required for right-of-way (R.O.W.) boring beneath Illinois Street and the LMYSC entrance drive; these permits are available at no cost. Boring will also be necessary under Welch Ditch, the primary water delivery channel to the course. A separate bore is required under West Kenny Run, which intersects a small portion of the course. Continuous cart paths span the entire golf course and will need to be preserved or restored during and after installation. Communication lines from the maintenance facility to irrigation satellite stations will require underground boring. Power wires are routed from the pump house to irrigation satellites and must be accounted for in the scope of work. Hole 12 is located on a capped landfill site and may have excavation or depth limitations. Specific requirements will be shared with the successful bidder. Irrigation responsibilities extend to the adjacent Splash Water Park near hole #9, as indicated in the construction plans. The City of Golden, Colorado, is seeking proposals for the replacement of the irrigation system at Fossil Trace Golf Course. This project is scheduled for fall 2026, contingent upon prevailing weather conditions. The replacement of the existing irrigation system will be executed in conjunction with the construction of a new pump station, which is critical for improving the overall efficiency and management of water resources on the golf course. The selected contractor will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the irrigation system replacement meet the designated specifications and city standards. The Contractor will be required to furnish and install all necessary components to irrigate holes 1-18, driving range / practice area and nearby Splash Water Park with all new materials and equipment, and connect to an Owner purchased new pump station and discharge pipe. The installation schedule is to start September 14, 2026 with half complete by the end of 2026, and a restart date of March 1, 2027. All work to be completed by May 27, 2027.
