Bidders can be General Contractors or Mechanical Contractors with successful experience acting as Prime Contractors. The project is the Replacement of Boiler 5 in the Heating Plant Annex and features an Owner-furnished 50,000 pounds per hour (lb/h) steam boiler, intensive piping systems, and boiler control systems. This is Step 1 of a two-step solicitation process where qualification packages will be reviewed, evaluated, and scored for each submitting firm. The highest-ranking firms will be included as pre-qualified, short-listed bidders to include General Contractors and Mechanical Contractors (acting as Prime Contractors).
