Water Main Replacement Along E Rankin Rd and Bellevista Dr The City of Independence is soliciting bids from qualified bidders for a water main replacement project for the Municipal Services Water Engineering Division. The project provides for 6" water main installation, including all necessary preparation work, at E Rankin Rd, E Red Rd, S Leslie Ave, and E Bellevista Dr. Please submit all questions regarding this Invitation to Bid online Question Deadline 09/08/2025 at 5:00 PM CT The contract provides for, but is not limited to, installation of o Approximately 1230 ft. of 6-inch d.i. class 52 water pipe designated "Line A," starting from the existing water main at a point on the northeast side of the intersection of S Pearl St. and E Rankin Rd. then extending east along E Rankin Rd., crossing Rankin Rd. and continuing southeast along Rankin Rd until crossing Rankin Rd to the west of S Leslie Ave. "Line A" continues along the north side of Rankin Rd until crossing the street at E Red Rd, and terminating on the northeast corner of E Red Rd, where it ties into an existing main, as indicated on the drawings; o Approximately 340 ft. of 6-inch d.i. class 52 water pipe designated "Line B," branching off from Line A from the northeast corner ofthe intersection of E Rankin Rd. and S Leslie Ave, crossing Rankin Rd and then running to the south along Leslie Ave, then tying into an existing water main at the northeast corner of the intersection of S Leslie Ave and E Bellevista Dr as indicated on the drawings; o Approximately 793 ft. of 6-inch d.i. class 52 water pipe designated "Line C," starting from the existing water main at a point on the northwest corner of the intersection of S Leslie Ave and E Bellevista Dr, then crossing Leslie Ave and continuing along Bellevista Dr to the east before curving to the south along S Leslie Ave and then terminating on the northeast corner of E Partridge Ave, where it ties into an existing main, as indicated on the drawings; o Approximately 24 ft. of 6-inch d.i. class 52 water pipe designated "Line D," branching off from Line A at the northwest corner of E Red Rd, continuing northwest until tying into an existing main on the west side of E Red Rd as indicated on the drawings; o Approximately 88 ft. of 6-inch d.i. class 52 water pipe designated "Line E," branching off from Line C at the northeast corner of the intersection of S Leslie Ave and E Partridge Ave, crossing S Leslie Ave and running west, then terminating on the northwest corner of E Partridge Ave and S Leslie Ave, where it ties into an existing main as indicated on the drawings; including all labor, materials and equipment and all necessary appurtenances to complete the project as specified. Project also includes all subsequent service lines, MUTCD compliant traffic control measures, all labor, materials, equipment, and all appurtenant work necessary for the completion of the project, as specified in the contract documents.
