A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Bids are hereby requested from qualified Contractors for Turf Renovation (Ballfield No. 2) at the Tamarac Sports Complex. The field is approximately 90,000 square feet. The project is located at the Tamarac Sports Complex at 9901 NW 77th Street, Tamarac, FL 33321. The work shall include, but not be limited to, excavating the existing field 3 inches in depth, clay infield, sod and organic layer, haul spoils off-site; excavating the area along the fence 4 inches in depth to create a warning track around the field (approximately 18,000 square feet); supplying and installing 4 inches of concrete screenings to the new warning track; compacting concrete screenings with plate compactor; supplying and installing 3 inches of 90/10 sports field rootzone mix; rototilling new rootzone to existing sub-grade; roughing grade/ finish grade/ laser grade; supplying and installing 80/20 clay to infield; rototilling new clay into existing clay; laser grade infield clay; building new pitcher's mound; supplying and installing 4 new sets of bases and base pegs; supplying and installing 2 new pitching rubbers; supplying and installing 55,000 square feet of certified Bimini sod, and rolling the entire field, warning track, clay, and sod with a 1.5 ton double drum roller. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete this project, as indicated in the Scope of Work (SOW), Special Conditions, and/or Special Provisions contained within the Bid Documents herein. All proposed improvements shall be completed in accordance with the project bid documents, design plans, details, technical specifications / SOW and all applicable federal, state, county, and local regulatory requirements. City reserves the right to reject any or all Bidder, to waive any informalities or irregularities in any Bids received, to re-advertise for Bids, to award in whole or in part to one or more Bidders or take any other such actions that may be deemed to be in the best interests of the City.
