Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Meadowbrook Village, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The Scope of Work generally consists of, but is not limited to: Obtaining required regulatory permitting for the Work; Site development; Site Access The Contractor shall submit a site access plan for approval a minimum of five (5) business days prior to construction activity, as approved by the Municipality. The Contractor shall be responsible to develop suitable Site access. Protection of Existing Infrastructure The Contractor shall be responsible for protection of existing infrastructure at the Site including above ground and buried infrastructure. The Contractor is responsible to obtain all required utility clearances prior to commencement of the Works. Any damaged infrastructure shall be repaired at the Contractor's expense. Environmental Regulations The Contractor shall adhere to all relevant Municipal, Provincial and Federal environmental regulations. Demolition of grain elevator, annex and concrete pad to the east; The Contractor shall be fully responsible for ensuring safety in areas underlying and adjacent to the construction site. The Contractor will be responsible for any loss or damage caused as a result of their actions. The Contractor shall prevent movement, settlement or damage to adjacent structures, grades or portions of existing structures to remain. If the safety of the structure being removed, or adjacent structures or grades appear to be in danger, the Contractor shall cease operations and notify the Municipality immediately. 0 The Contractor shall obtain and pay for all license and permits, and shall comply with all Municipal, Provincial and Federal regulations related to demolition. Blasting will not be allowed for demolition. Backfilling of cavities; 0 The Contractor shall backfill all cavities created by demolition operations with compacted common fill. Sorting, removal and disposal of wood, concrete and metal materials; 0 The Contractor shall remove all demolished materials and debris from the site as soon as possible. Demolition debris shall become the property of the Contractor and shall be properly disposed of at an approved location, in accordance with the applicable Municipal, Provincial and Federal regulations. 0 The Contractor shall obtain and pay all tipping fees related to the disposal of demolished materials. The Contractor shall recycle and reuse as much of the demolished materials as is reasonably practical. The Municipality will permit the excavation of a burn pit onsite and the controlled burning of wood materials. The Municipality will permit the excavation of a disposal pit onsite for broken up concrete materials. Site restoration; Landscaping All excavations shall be filled and leveled using compacted common fill. Disposal pits shall be capped with a minimum of 600 mm of compacted common fill. Common fill shall be compacted to 95% Standard Proctor Maximum Dry Density. The Contractor shall submit a landscaping plan for approval a minimum of five (5) business days prior to construction activity, as approved by the Municipality. General Site Clean-up and Restoration All areas of the construction Site shall be cleaned up and restored to a condition at least equivalent to its original condition prior to initiation of Work. This may include, but is not limited to the Contractor's laydown area. All items listed above are to be completed by the Contractor for the fixed price as specified in Schedule A. Quantities shall be measured onsite by the Contractor, photos have been provided for reference only. The Municipality of Two Borders will not be responsible for overage in estimated quantities for this fixed price proposal. The Contractor shall provide evidence of general liability insurance with insurable limits of not less than Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000) for each occurrence or incident. The Municipality of Two Borders shall be named as an additional named insured to the Contractor's General Liability Insurance Policy.
