Renovation of a detention facility in West Palm Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Hedrick Brothers Construction Co, Inc. and Cooper Construction Management (Construction Managers) for Palm Beach County, Florida (Owner) will receive Proposals for Main Detention Center Air Handler and Roof Top Unit Removal and Replacement project. Scope of work includes Temporary Air Conditioning Units, Removal and Replacement of AHU-T1A, AHU-T2A and RTU-B1B, Chilled, Hot Water and Condensate piping, Pipe Insulation, Ductwork, Roofing / Sheet Metal, HVAC Controls. DDC Controls, Fire Alarm, Louvers, Electrical Modifications and Painting. A Bid Bond in the amount of five (5) percent of Proposer proposal required for all Proposer proposal exceeding $250,000.00. Form of Bid Bond to be AIA Contract Document A310-2010. If total base Proposal exceeds $100,000.00, Proposer will be required to provide 100% Performance and Payment Bond equal to amount of base Proposal amount. All potential Proposers wishing to attend Pre-Proposal conferences and site inspections are required to provide copy of each attending individuals driver's license to Karrie Morrison by email KMorrison@coopercmc.com five days in advance of scheduled Pre-Proposal conference and site inspection. Approval of everyone attending Pre-Proposal conference and site inspection is required by Palm Beach County Sherriff Department. All selected Subcontractors and or all Subcontractors Sub / Subcontractors are required to comply with provisions of Palm Beach County Ordinance 2003-030 Criminal History Records Check including finger printing for all on site workers. Criminal History Records Check will be performed by Palm Beach County Electronic Services and Security Division / Access Section. All Subcontractors and or all Subcontractors Sub / Subcontractors are required to execute and comply with E-Verify requirements. All Subcontractors and or all Subcontractors Sub / Subcontractors are required to comply with Palm Beach County Living Wage requirements for all on site employees and to maintain payroll records and basic records relating thereto for each on site employee for a period of three (3) years. Palm Beach County, Florida has a Certified Small Business goal of 20% for Certified Small Business participation. Only firms certified by Palm Beach County, Florida is acceptable for participation as a Small Business. The Owner and / or Construction Manager reserves the right to reject any or all proposals which are in its best interest. The Owner and / or Construction Manager also reserves the right to wave informalities and technicalities in procedure. All costs incurred by Proposer in preparing a Proposal shall be the sole responsibility of the Proposer.
