As of September 11, 2025, an engineer has been selecte and this project is in the early design status. Design and construction is unfunded. Project Number: 421225-2 FDOT is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study on SR 390 (East 14th Street) from SR 77 (Ohio Avenue) to SR 75 (US 231) in Bay County, Florida. The purpose of this study is to evaluate overall traffic operations, assess future traffic projections, regional mobility, social and economic factors, and environmental impacts to improve roadway capacity and meet future travel demand along SR 390. This study will also evaluate roadway safety, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and freights/goods movements. The proposed improvements will consist of widening SR 390 between SR 77 (Ohio Avenue) and SR 75 from a two-lane rural collector and arterial undivided roadway to a six-lane urban, undivided arterial, including improvements at either end of the project. This multi-lane reconstruction project primarily consists of widening SR 390 from SR 77 (Ohio Avenue) to SR 75 (US 231). The typical section shall consist of ssix (6) 11' travel lanes separated by a 22’ grassed median with Type E curb and gutter, 7’ bicycle lanes and Type-F curb and gutter at the outside edge of pavement. A separated ix-foot (6’) sidewalk shall be constructed eastbound and a westbound 12’ Shared-Use Path. The right-of-way varies throughout the project limits. Additional right-of-way will be required.
