Description

Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Marianna, Florida. Design plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a road / highway; and for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

As of September 11, 2025, an engineer has been selecte and this project is in the design status. It is anticipated bidding will commence mid 2026. Engineer information and a firm timeline for construction has not been determined. The intent of this project is to replace the existing bridge on SR 10 (US 90) over Chipola River. The new bridge will maintain the existing four-lane capacity. Roadway approaches will be resurfaced or reconstructed as needed. The paddling trail under the bridge will remain open. During construction, a temporary bridge and roadway will be built on the north side to allow construction of the new bridge to occur on the current location. Additional right of way is required.
