The Contractor must provide all material, labor, tools, plant, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and all other services and facilities necessary to complete the construction of a postal facility for the Postal Service, including all incidental work described in the contract documents. B. The scope of work is described in the construction drawings and specifications but generally consists of the following: 1. Removed insulation and provide new insulation for domestic water piping serving the cooling tower. 2 Remove existing cooling tower drain from cooling tower to scupper. Provide hub drain, turn cooling tower drain into the hub drain and extend hub drain piping to sanitary connection on second floor. 3. Remove natural draft gas fired boiler and provide gas fired boiler with combustion air fan, combustion air duct and new flue. Modify hot water piping and gas piping to accommodate new boiler. 4. Acid clean chiller condenser tubes and brush tubes to obtain operating efficiency. 5. Remove and replace cooling tower fill and clean hot water basin, cold water basin, air inlet screens and water distribution nozzles. 6. Upgrade condenser water chemical treatment system by replacing pumps, meters and controller. Provide chemicals for one year and warranty performance of system throughout the year. 7. Remove existing multi-zone air handling units and provide variable volume air handling units with terminal units. Perimeter zones are to have fan terminal units with hot water heating coils and interior zones are to have cooling only terminal units. 8. Remove remainder of pneumatic control system and provided DDC controls for new air handling units and terminal units. 9. Electrical work to support new HVAC equipment.
