Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Tallahassee, Florida. Design plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
As of September 12, 2025, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. Project Number: 449079-1 The principal intent of this project is to replace the existing structurally deficient bridge on CR 2203 (Springhill Road) over Munson Slough in Leon County. The project will be compatible with the adjacent Blueprint Airport Gateway project. The bridge improvements include a twin bridge replacement structure that maintains the existing two-lane roadway capacity, adds sidewalks on the southbound side and a shared-use path on the northbound direction. The roadway approaches will be resurfaced or reconstructed as needed. This project also requires additional right-of-way.
