Renovation of a development in Nye, Montana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a development.
The contract requires the removal of lead-based paint and exterior repainting of four buildings located in the Custer Gallatin National Forest: Meyers Creek Barn (#2400), Meyers Creek Garage/Shop (#1502), Meyers Creek White House (#1007), and West Bridger Creek Cabin (#1009). All buildings have tested positive for lead, with the White House having undergone partial remediation. The scope includes mobilization, lead-based paint removal, surface preparation, and repainting using Sherwin Williams Duration or an approved equivalent. Contractors must comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding lead-based paint handling, including containment, worker protection per OSHA 29 CFR 1926.62, and hazardous waste management under 40 CFR 261. The contractor is responsible for site preparation, repair of damaged or missing siding, and ensuring professional installation and finish. All work must be approved by the Contracting Officer (CO), including materials and color selections. The contractor must submit a Health and Safety Plan for approval before work begins and ensure daily cleanup and final inspection clearance.
