The completed Work will provide Aurora Water with rehabilitated filters (Filters 4 and 13, and Filters 2 and 12) at the Wemlinger Water Purification Facility. The scope of work includes the following tasks: Removal and disposal of filter media and removal of existing IMS caps from the underdrain (Filters 4 and 13 only). Requires coordination with Operations Staff. Operations staff will conduct sampling of the filter media and provide laboratory analytical results to the contractor for waste profiling. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating with the landfill for waste profiling and disposal. Install new media retaining caps (Leopold I.M.S. 200 media retainers) and new filter (Filters 4 and 13 only). Coordination with Owner and Operations Staff to perform an air bubble test in order to witness the final condition of the air distribution in the underdrains. A Leopold representative will be present to inspect the media retaining cap installation and to witness the bubble test (Filters 4 and 13 only). Vacuuming/cleaning of filter box (Filters 4 and 13 only). Installation of Owner supplied wall mount Davit Arm rescue system brackets per Contract Documents.
