Reference Number 0000396352 Wemlinger Water Purification Facility (Wemlinger WPF) located at 18301 East Quincy Avenue, Aurora, Colorado is currently a direct filtration facility with short hydraulic residence time flocculation basins followed by filtration and rated for 80 MGD. Aurora Water plans to convert the facility to conventional treatment by constructing new flocculation and sedimentation basins onsite. Additionally, the conversion will require modifications to the existing drying beds to handle the additional solids removed from the raw water, and to account for the fact that most of the solids removed will be from the sedimentation basin while backwashes will still occur and will also send solids to the drying beds. Therefore, as part of the project it will include the necessary modifications to the drying beds. The City of Aurora, Colorado, acting by and through its Utility Enterprise, Aurora Water ("City" or "Aurora Water") issued this Request for Proposals ("RFP") to solicit proposals ("Proposals") from firms and/or contractors ("Proposers", "Contractors" or "Firms") interested in contracting to serve as the Construction Manager General Contractors ("CM/GC") for the Wemlinger Water Purification Facility Comprehensive Upgrades Program ("Project"). The purpose of this RFP is to determine the most qualified Proposer (the "Selected Proposer") to be awarded the CM/GC contract for the Project ("CM/GC Contract"). The purpose of the Pre-proposal Conference is to provide Proposers with assistance in the interpretation of this RFP, the CM/GC services sought, and other technical matters. Attendance at the Pre-proposal Conference is not mandatory to submit a Proposal, but highly recommended.
