Renovation of a municipal facility in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Atlantic County Civil Courthouse Toilet Room ADA Renovations General Construction, including, but not limited to: a. Selective demolition responsibilities included within the scope of the project shall include the following: i. Demolition of construction designated and required to accommodate the new work, including finished ceilings, non-asbestos containing floor finishes, doors, door frames as noted, toilet partitions, accessories and related equipment designated. ii. Existing masonry construction as indicated and as required to accommodate the scope of the work proposed. iii. Removal of wall mounted equipment and furnishings as designated and required to complete the scope of the proposed work. iv. Preparation of existing masonry wall and substrates as required to accommodate the proposed construction. v. Removal of all wall finishes, including all layers of wall and floor tile. vi. Removal of existing ceiling systems, and repair, patching and preparation of existing construction designated to remain as required to accept the specified finishes. vii. Removal of acoustical panel ceiling systems, including coordination and sequencing of the work with the owner and other contractors. viii. Patching of building finishes damaged or altered as a result of the work of this contract including adjacent ceilings systems. ix. Patching and repair of roofing finishes. The contractor is advised that roof areas impacted by the work of this contract are under warranty. Repairs and alterations to these roof systems must be performed in strict conformation with the written requirements of the roofing system manufacturer, and performed by a roofing contractor pre-qualified by the roofing system manufacturer. x. Cutting, patching and restoration of existing interior and exterior finishes to the extent required to accommodate the work of this contract. b. Masonry construction where shown and as required to infill areas of removed masonry, abandoned door openings, and other items as may be shown in the contract documents. c. Painting of walls and door frames, including preparation of all surfaces to be painted. d. Application of ceramic tile where noted. Work includes all preparation to existing surfaces to receive new tile. i. Work includes repair of all walls to provide a smooth substrate in accordance with requirements for wall tile installation method specified. ii. Work includes infill of floor surfaces to prepare an adequate substrate for the tile installation method specified. e. Supply and installation of new doors, door frames and hardware as shown and indicated within the Contract Documents. f. Supply and installation of new ceiling systems, and preparation for the installation lighting fixtures and other ceiling mounted devices. g. Supply and installation of new toilet partitions. h. Supply and installation of new toilet rooms accessories, including grab bars, mirrors and other accessories as indicated within the toilet accessory schedule and drawings. i. Installation of Owner provide toilet rooms accessories where indicated. j. Preparation for new floor and wall base finishes including infill of surfaces disturbed or affected by the construction process. k. Supply and installation of new interior signage indicated. l. Roof cutting, patching and restoration to the extent required to accommodate the work of this contract. Refer to the Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical drawings for the extent of new openings, penetrations, curbs and pipe supports requiring cutting and restoration of new warrantied roofing system. m. Installation and removal of all interior and exterior temporary construction measures and repair of surfaces damaged by temporary construction. 2. Mechanical Work, including, but not limited removal of existing mechanical systems as indicated and required, supply and installation of new exhaust fan(s), duct work and diffusers, renovation of the existing exhaust systems(where indicated), modification of existing roof curbs and supports systems as indicated and required, installation of new transfer grilles and fire dampers, and relocation of existing mechanical work in conflict with new construction proposed as a part of this contract. a. Equipment will be integrated into the BMS by the Owner's integration Contractor. 3. Plumbing Work, including, but not limited removal of existing plumbing systems and fixtures as indicated and required, supply and installation of new water service, drainage systems and fixtures, and relocation of existing plumbing work designated to remain but in conflict with new construction proposed as a part of this contract, and supply and installation of new plumbing services shown and required for a complete operating system. 4. Electrical Work, including, but not limited removal of existing electrical systems as indicated and required, supply and installation of new electrical systems, devices, lighting fixtures and accessories, relocation of existing electrical work in designated to remain but in conflict with new construction proposed as a part of this contract, and supply and installation of new electrical services shown and required for a complete operating system. Operating systems shall include all mechanical and plumbing systems, electrical operators and controls, and equipment scheduled to be provided as a part of this contract. Any questions concerning this specification must be submitted in writing through online. Questions must be submitted no later than September 10, 2025 at 12pm a. Substantial completion shall occur no later than Two Hundred and Twenty - Four (224) consecutive calendar days after the issuance of a notice to proceed/execution of the contract. b. Final completion and close out shall occur no later than Two Hundred and Forty - Five (245) consecutive calendar days after issuance of a notice to proceed/execution of the contract
