It is the Contractor's responsibility to visit the site before submitting the bid and to determine for himself how he will accomplish the requirements of this contract. No payment shall be made for temporary relocation of utilities as a result of contractors means and methods of construction. 2. Contractor is responsible to familiarize himself with the available equipment/materials storage areas onsite and where equipment/materials must be stored at the end of the day. 3. Contractor is responsible for all cleanup, notifications, fines, labor, materials and all other costs during this contract. 4. Contractor shall follow all applicable rules and regulations of local, state and federal agencies. 5. The Contractor shall carry all necessary insurance including worker's compensation, general liability, and special hazard insurance. The successful contractor shall provide the Owner with a certificate of insurance showing adequate limits on the various classifications as required by the Owner. 6. No vegetative waste or trash shall be disposed of in any wetland, flood plain, or other environmentally sensitive area. It is the Contractor's responsibility to properly dispose of all waste. 7. Where equipment must utilize traveled roadway, the Contractor is to provide, at his expense, necessary traffic control, devices, personnel and/or uniformed policemen as required by authorities having jurisdiction over the roadway, and in accordance with the Current Manual on Uniform, Traffic Control Devices. 8. The Contractor shall minimize his disturbance to the work area. The Contractor shall restore all disturbed areas to the satisfaction of the property Owner and the Engineer. The Contractor will provide the Owner and the Engineer with video or pictures of the surface conditions prior to commencement of work. 9. Contractor must comply with all permit requirements. Civil Scope of Work: 1. Site Preparation: a. Properly prepare the site per the grading plan b. New Curb and sidewalk at various locations. c. New Porous Asphalt parking and Porous concrete sidewalk areas. d. Driveway Improvements e. Utility Improvements f. Camera / Light Pole Relocation g. Landscape Irrigation System h. Final Grading i. Topsoil & Seeding j. Final Cleanup 2. Utilities - Contractor shall provide all material and labor to construct the proposed sanitary sewer, sanitary gravity piping, and domestic water systems to the proposed comfort station. Work shall also include removal of a portion of existing saltwater intake line and re-construction of line as shown on civil drawings. Contractor shall be responsible for all costs, construction, and coordination with utility companies for service connections. No additional payment will be made for utility connections. 3. Cleaning and Restoration - item shall include repairs and restoration as required. The entire site shall be in "as good" or "better" condition than prior to construction. There shall be no separate payment for Topsoil, Seed, Fertilizer and Mulch. "Cleaning and Restoration" item shall be as outlined in Section 161 of the 2019 NJDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and Section 018929 of these specifications. Contractor is required to take pictures prior to and subsequent to performing work. Architectural Scope of Work - Maintenance Building: The work at the existing maintenance building shall consists of the following: o Replacement of existing asphalt shingle roof with new dimensional asphalt shingle roof, including replacement of existing damaged roof substrate. o Replacement of existing wood soffit and fascia, and repair of existing wood board and batten siding in areas of damage. o Paint existing building exterior. Architectural Scope of Work - Trash & Recycle Facility: Contractor shall provide all labor and material necessary to construct the proposed trash and recycle facility as shown on the contract drawings. Structural Scope of Work: 1. Contractor shall furnish and install concrete filled steel pipe piles as indicated on the Contract Documents. 2. Contractor shall furnish and construct an elevated concrete platform as shown on the Contract Documents. This shall include but is not limited to concrete grade beams, foundation walls, slabs, and ramps. 3. Contractor shall furnish and install miscellaneous items including but not limited to aluminum handrails, access hatches, and flood vents as indicated on the Contract Documents. 4. Contractor shall furnish and install prefabricated restroom structure as indicated on the Contract Documents. 5. Contractor shall furnish and install trash enclosure as indicated on the contract documents. Plumbing Scope of Work: 1. Provide new domestic water supply to pre-fabricated restroom structure. Provide backflow preventer and water meter. Provide final connections to existing domestic water piping inside of pre-fabricated structure. 2. Provide new sanitary piping below pre-fabricated restroom structure. Provide all sanitary stub connections to fixtures and pipe connections at floor level of pre-fabricated restroom structure. 3. Coordinate with water utility for provision of new water meter. 4. Provide heat trace for all domestic cold water and sanitary piping located above grade in support structure. 5. Coordinate with approved pre-fabricated restroom structure shop drawings for final sanitary and domestic water piping connection locations and sizes. Electrical Scope of Work: 1. All electrical work shall comply with all local, state and federal building and national electrical and federal communication codes and guidelines. 2. All electrical and electrical systems work shall be all inclusive such as, but not limited to: permitting, site evaluation, utility service provisions, site lighting, demolition, excavation, trenching backfilling and compaction, misc. concrete work, electrical materials, fiber optic materials, CCTV cameras, camera hardware and materials, CCTV head end equipment, installations of all fiber optic / CAT6 / CTA6e materials, fittings and component connections, CCTV system testing, labor, light and heavy equipment and tools. See Specification Section 260500 Common Work Results for Electrical Materials and Methods for additional detailed information. 3. Provide all electrical and fiber optic / electrical systems interconnections to the proposed pre-engineered Comfort Station. Work shall include all electrical interconnections, piping heat trace systems, new comfort station perimeter and walkway lighting, electrical testing, etc. for a complete, turnkey installation. 4. The contractor shall obtain a third-party testing and inspection agency for the CCTV and WIFI installations. Replace and revise new system as require obtaining an approved and functioning installation
