Renovation of a library in Gloversville, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
A. Perform all work of the Division 07 technical specification sections B. Project coordination and organization, including necessary survey and layout work. C. Complete ALL work items noted in the project specifications and on the contract drawings, unless specifically noted to be completed by Owner. D. Refer to Specification Section 01 50 00 - Temporary Facilities and Controls for additional listing of all Temporary Facilities to be provided and maintained by the Contractor for use by this Contractor, the Owner and Owner agents. E. During construction the contractor shall provide flagmen, barriers, signage, and other measures as needed to provide safe public access for vehicles, material deliveries and pedestrians as required for this scope of work. F. This Prime Contractor is to stockpile all debris and load it into their own Dumpster on a daily basis, for the period that construction is scheduled, turning over dumpsters as needed to avoid overflow. Coordinate location with the Owner and Design Team. G. Complete all work associated with all G and A Series Drawings. H. Prime Contractor is required to coordinate with local municipalities regarding access interruptions and connections at existing paved streets and sidewalks. I. Furnish and install all sealants and caulking. J. Cutting and patching: Complete cutting and patching as required to complete the scope of work of this contract. Question Deadline 10/02/2025 Queries regarding the contents of the Bid Documents shall be directed to the ARCHITECT in writing via email. This Request for Clarification form shall be completed in full, and emailed to rowlands@brmarchitects.com, at the office of the ARCHITECT. This form must be transmitted not less than five (5) business days prior to the date set for receipt of bids. All questions during the bid phase shall be in writing and directed to Steven G. Rowland, at Butler Rowland Mays Architects, LLP at rowlands@brmarchitects.com. Contractors are invited to submit a prime contract bid offer for the Dome Restoration Project at the Gloversville Public Library. The project is being funded, in part, by a grant from the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation through Title 9 of the NYS Environmental Protection Act of 1993, as well as by the NYS Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI). Minority and Women owned businesses are strongly encouraged to bid on this project. The City of Gloversville DRI requires this project meet a Minority Owned participation goal of 10% and a Women owned business goal of 10%. Contractors are required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Price. Performance Bond and Payment Bond for 100% of the Contract Sum will be required prior to executing the Construction Contract. Failure to submit the Bid Bond with the Bid may be cause for rejection. Refer to other Bidding requirements describes in Specification Section 00 21 33 Instructions to Bidders. All questions during the bid phase shall be in writing and directed to Steven G. Rowland, at Butler Rowland Mays Architects, LLP at rowlands@brmarchitects.com. Bid offers will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after submission. The Owner expressly reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids submitted in response to this bid solicitation and/or to accept any portion of said bid and reject the balance. Bidders may provide additional required information as appropriate, but may not qualify their Bid in any way.
