Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Gloversville, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The proposed project is for the debris cleanup from the controlled demolition of 5 former industrial sites located in Gloversville. located at 92-96 Harrison Street, 5 Hill Street, 40 Beaver Street, 31 South Arlington Avenue, and 102 South Main Street Gloversville, New York (Sites). 92-96 Harrison Street: Former Comrie, Inc. consists of a 10-acre unsecured site (a portion which is owned by Gloversville) acquired by AAI) with two 2-story abandoned deteriorated buildings totaling 83,485 square foot (ft2), was utilized as a tannery from 1905-1982. The site, adjacent to the Cayadutta Creek is located within the 100-year floodplain. A Phase 2 identified petroleum constituents in site soil and groundwater along a former railroad spur. Based on site observations the area of the pits is approximately 8ft below grade (ft bg) and approximately 896 cubic yard (yd3). The pitted area contains ACM (tar) which will require abatement. The pit area is just east of Building C which slopes up going west approximately 1/3 of the basement area is 6 ft bg and the other 2/3 of the basement is approximately 5 ft bg totaling 4,111 yd3. The above grade walls of Building C will be demolished and pending the results of asbestos analysis for the brick mortar may be suitable for backfill materials. If the bricks are not suitable as backfill material imported clean material (sand) will be used as backfill. The below grade walls of Building C will be left as retaining walls.
