Site work for a water / sewer project in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The existing Leitrim Wastewater Pumping Station (WWPS), owned and operated by City of Ottawa, was constructed in 2001. The core objective of this project is to increase pumping capacity through upgrades to accommodate higher flows expected to come from additional development. The project will maximize the capacity of the pumping station and improve its maintainability and operational flexibility. The anticipated upgrades under this project include: Installation of permanent bypass pump and discharge piping and valving in the upstream Control MH Replacement of pumps, piping, valving, and level controls in the Wet Well, Addition of new railings and odour control unit at ground level and replacement Control MH hatch Upsizing of piping in the Valve Room and all associated isolation valves and pressure and flow instruments Upsizing of a section of buried forcemain (FM) Upsizing and relocation of standby power generator and associated equipment Repurposing the generator room and removal of all associated intake air and exhaust appurtenances Relocation and replacement of control and distribution panels and pump starters Installation of new air conditioning units Installation of a new generator pad and removal of existing SCADA pole Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
