Recent guidelines from the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat mandate the replacement of HVAC equipment in federal buildings to align with the "Greening Government Strategy" commitment, emphasizing lower GWP refrigerants. The existing chiller, using R-123 refrigerant (GWP=79), must be replaced with a more environmentally friendly option. The chosen solution is to replace with R-513a Centrifugal Chiller. Involved in the replacement of the existing chiller is the upgrading of the chilled water pumps and enhancing the refrigerant leak detection system. This proposed chiller aims to reduce electricity consumption, align with environmental commitments, and enhance overall cooling plant reliability. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com Bidders are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date and times specified within the item 2.6.15. A maximum of two representatives of each Bidder, or its authorized representative or authorized representatives, is or are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. BGIS will contact all Bidders that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times.
