The project consists of the demolition of all structures on the Village owned property at 1024 Newberry Avenue, including the removal and proper disposal of all building debris, in accordance with applicable laws, removal and proper disposal of all hazardous waste (including but not limited to light fixtures/bulbs), removal of existing foundations and slabs, backfilling of excavated areas, final grading, and site restoration. The Village has already completed asbestos abatement for identified ACM, and all household items and white goods have been removed. However, remaining lead-based paint must be properly managed during demolition. Restoration shall include topsoil placement and seed, with sod as an alternate option if directed by the Villages Director of Public Works. The Contractor shall coordinate termination with all utility service providers as needed. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier s check, or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total proposal. The Contractor will also be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the contract amount. The Village of La Grange Park reserves the right to waive technicalities and reject any or all bids.
