As of September 29, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The project includes the following work: Construct approximately 14,550 lineal feet of sewer relining, 600 vertical feet of manhole lining, lift station upgrades, and all related appurtenances, along the following segments within the southern portion of the corporate limits of the City of Arcola in Douglas County: portions of Illinois Route 133, from west of Pine Street to east Jacques Street, with an extension one 1/2 block south; portions of South 1st and 2nd Streets and connecting rights of way, from Illinois Route 133 to South 2nd Street; Oak, Locust, Pine and Ash Streets, with right of way extensions, from South 2nd to 4th Streets; South 3rd Street, from Pine Street to northeast of Fishel Street; and 750 feet along Elm Street and a west parallel right of way, from south of Moore Memorial Park, and a connecting right of way in between. No oral interpretation will be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of the Contract Documents or any part thereof. Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing to the Local Public Agency. Any inquiry received seven or more days prior to the date fixed for opening the Bids will be given consideration. Every interpretation made to a Bidder will be in the form of an Addendum to the Contract Documents, and when issued, will be on file in the office of the Local Public Agency and the office of the Engineer at least five days before Bids are opened. In addition, all Addenda will be mailed to each person holding Contract Documents, but it shall be the Bidder's responsibility to make inquiry as to the Addenda issued. All such Addenda shall become part of the Contract and all Bidders shall be bound by such Addenda, whether or not received by the Bidders. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of City of Arcola, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The City of Arcola reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Arcola for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
