Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Melrose Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of September 16 , 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on September 22, 2025. City/County Melrose Park Intermittent Curb and Gutter, Sidewalk, and Driveway Replacement; Ada Sidewalk Upgrades; Drainage Repairs and Replacements; Hot-mix Asphalt Surface Removal; Resurfacing. Project Location: Rice Street from 21st Avenue to Broadway Avenue within Village of Melrose Park Proposals requiring prequalification of bidders will be issued only to those contractors who are qualified with the Department of Transportation. Prequalification forms may be secured from the Engineer of Construction, Administration Building, 2300 South Dirksen Parkway, Springfield, IL 62764. ILDOT - Intermittent Curb and Gutter, Sidewalk, and Driveway Replacement Asphalt milling, intermittent replacement of sidewalks, curbs, and driveway pavements, sewer repair, structure adjustments, Class D pavement patching, placement of HMA binder course and surface course, thermoplastic pavement marking, and landscape restoration This item includes the placement of new concrete sidewalk at locations shown on the Plans or as directed by the Engineer in accordance with Section 424 of the "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction". This item will typically be used where there is no direct vehicle access crossing the sidewalk, such as at driveways for parking or truck docks. The five inch (5") thick P.C.C. sidewalk shall be constructed to the limits and grade required to blend with adjoining surfaces. The sidewalk shall be placed upon a base of compacted crushed stone, Gradation CA-6, having a minimum thickness of two inches (2"). Any additional stone necessary in excess of two inches (2") to bring stone to grade to allow for five inches of concrete will not be paid for separately but shall be included in the cost of this item. The cost of furnishing, placing, and compacting the stone shall be included in this item. Full depth expansion joints shall be placed between the sidewalk and the back of any adjacent curb, sidewalk, or buildings, and as directed by the Engineer Payment will be at the Contract unit price per Square Foot for PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK, 5".
