Paving for a road / highway in San Rafael, California. Completed plans call for paving for a road / highway.
Improvements for this project will generally include restoring pavement to a condition rating of "good" or higher with no structural damage, applying high friction surface treatment over the restored pavement along 12 locations, and then refreshing pavement markings with new edge and centerline striping, including retroreflective pavement markers. The work will take place along an approximately 4-mile stretch of Panoramic Highway, a major collector road in Mill Valley, between mileposts 4.22 - 8.32 as follows:Road Name Limit of Improvements Panoramic Highway (Location 1) 2 curves at MP 4.22 Panoramic Highway (Location 2) 1 curve at MP 4.53 Panoramic Highway (Location 3) 3 curves between MP 4.66 and MP 4.83 Panoramic Highway (Location 4) 1 curve at MP 5.50 Panoramic Highway (Location 5) 5 curves between MP 5.67 and MP 5.92 Panoramic Highway (Location 6) 3 curves at MP 6.28 Panoramic Highway (Location 7) 2 curves at MP 6.47 and MP 6.53 Panoramic Highway (Location 8) 5 curves around MP 7.27 Panoramic Highway (Location 9) 1 curve at MP 7.57 Panoramic Highway (Location 10) 1 curve at MP 7.66 Panoramic Highway (Location 11) 1 curve at MP 8.25 Panoramic Highway (Location 12) 1 curve at MP 8.32 Bidders may request reasonable accommodation for auxiliary aids by contacting bids@marincounty.gov or by calling (415) 473-6528. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class "A" License at time of bid submittal. A Bid Bond, cash, certified check, or cashier's check, in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the County of Marin shall accompany the Proposal. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the right to waive any irregularities. Award of contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with prescribed requirements, and will be within sixty (60) days after the Bid Questions concerning the Bid should be submitted via Bid Express no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 4 th , 2025. Prior to submitting a bid, the Bidder shall visit and inspect the project site to become thoroughly familiar with all conditions that may affect the performance and cost of the work. The Bidder shall investigate all relevant factors, including but not limited to existing underground and overhead utilities, the steepness of terrain, roadway width and curvature, and any constraints related to staging areas and site access
