Bids are requested by the La Salle County Board for County Department Office Upgrades at the La Salle County Governmental Center, 707 E. Etna Road, Ottawa, IL 61350. Work is to be carried out in accordance with Bidding Documents prepared by BCA Architects, Ltd., 620 West Lafayette Street, Ottawa, IL 61350; (815) 434-0108. Project Description: Remodeling of the Treasurer's Office located on the main level of the La Salle County Governmental Center, 707 E. Etna Road, Ottawa, IL 61350. The work consists of a new transaction counter, transaction windows, door/frame/hardware, painting, ceiling tile, flooring and related electrical. Contract Type: Single prime lump sum contract. Stipulations: Bidder will be required to provide Bid Security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor & Material Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of the acts of the General Assembly of the State of Illinois related to Wage Rates, Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Alcohol Use, Preference to Illinois Workmen, Fair Employment Practices Commission, and Equal Employment Opportunity. Per latest prevailing wage ordinance adopted by La Salle County, the successful bidder shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). All contractors' bonds shall include a provision as will guarantee the faithful performance of such prevailing wage clause as provided by this bid specification or contract. The successful bidder shall provide certificate of insurance establishing compliance with La Salle County Resolution No. 21-81 "A RESOLUTION UPDATING MINIMUM INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS" dated August 12, 2021. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any irregularities in the Bidding, and to award contract in Owner's best interests. Prospective bidders and sub-bidders requiring clarifications or interpretations of the Bidding Documents shall make requests for such as early in the bidding period as possible.
