TMK: 2-9-004-005 DESCRIPTION OF BID PROPOSAL ITEMS Basic Bid: Replace the fuel storage tanks and miscellaneous related work for Transportation Services. Scope of work includes removal of the two existing 2000-gallon aboveground gasoline fuel storage tanks and a split existing 1000/1000 gallon gasoline and diesel aboveground fuel tank. The tanks shall be replaced with one 2000-gallon and one 1000/1000-gallon aboveground fuel storage tanks to fit within the existing concrete slab. Existing fuel dispensers, fuel piping, and support shall be removed and replaced with new as indicated in drawings. All new tanks shall be tied to the new tank monitoring system. Work shall include electrical and all associated work for complete installation. CONTRACT TIME The contract time for this project shall be 210 consecutive calendar days from the effective date designated in the Notice to Proceed. From the effective date noted in the Notice to Proceed (NTP) letter, the Contractor shall proceed with his preparatory work such as preparing and forwarding submittals, obtaining approvals, obtaining permits, and other work as approved by the University. No work shall be allowed at the job site and no ordering of materials shall be allowed until receipt of the Notice to Proceed letter, or upon earlier written notice from the University. The Contractor shall be responsible for any air freight cost or overtime cost differentials necessary to complete the project within the project contract time.
