Amtrak intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for qualified Construction Contractors which is funded by the Federal Railroad Administration via a Grant with the National Rail Passenger Corporation (Amtrak). Amtrak, at its sole discretion and without discussion, will determine which firms are to be added to its list of contractors for request of solicitation for this project. Project Description: Amtrak is seeking a contractor to renovate ~11,000 square feet on the 6 th floor of the Renaissance Centre building located at 405 N King St, Wilmington, DE to relocate the National Communications Center (NCC) which is part of Amtrak Police Department (APD) nationwide dispatch center for management of all police involved in incidents in the Amtrak system, a 24/7 secure operation center. The project is to take place mainly during working hours in a building with current tenants and other contractors operating in the building. The contractor will be responsible for all scope outlined in the design documents supplied by Amtrak. This includes but is not limited to demo of existing space, procurement of all equipment and materials, including technology equipment and service, coordination with other projects, and provide startup and commissioning. Firms must complete form "LOI - Contractor Qualifications - RRP APD_NCC Relocation" Amtrak shall have an option at any time, in its sole discretion, to add additional services associated with additional phases of this project to the scope of the Contract, subject to Amtrak's receipt of an acceptable proposal or proposals for such services from Contractor. Nothing herein shall obligate Amtrak to exercise options for award to the Contractor.
