As of September 24, 2025, project was awarded to Normac Co LLC, awarded amount is $740,695.29. SCOPE OF WORK to be performed under this improvement shall generally consist of resurfacing various asphalt streets within the City. Base bid work includes reconstructing ADA accessible sidewalk ramps, milling existing pavement, repairing base as necessary, overlaying the streets with asphalt and other associated roadway-related items in nine separate locations. The total quantity of work is approximately 44,000 square yards of asphalt resurfacing. The City of Trenton reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with the Contract Documents. The City of Trenton reserves the right to add to or to subtract from the contract quantities. The City of Trenton also reserves the right to hold all proposals for sixty (60) days. EACH BIDDER is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty (10% of the Bid Amount) and Contract Bond (100% of the Bid Amount) in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. EACH BID PROPOSAL must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. BIDDERS must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Butler County and the City of Trenton as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239. BIDS shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope identified as 2025 Trenton Local Paving Program and MUST HAVE THE FULL NAME AND ADDRESS of the bidder on the envelope. Work includes reconstructing ADA accessible sidewalk ramps, milling existing pavement, repairing base as necessary, overlaying the streets with asphalt and other associated roadway-related items. Work is to be in accordance with the City of Trenton Standards, Ohio Department of Transportation Standards and the specifications.
