Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The General Work Requested is: The Construction of; 7" Concrete Pavement, Vari-able Thickness Asphaltic Concrete Pavement, 5" Con-crete Walk, 7" Concrete Driveways, Concrete Curb and Gutter, Permeable Paver Blocks, Detectable Warning Fields, Installa-tion of Various Conduits and Other Electrical Appurtenances, Pavement Grinding, Sealing Pavement Joints and Cracks, Vari-ous Geosynthetic Mate-rial Assembly/installation, Gravel Filling, Concrete Removals, Sewer Work, Water Work, Trees Clear-ing and Grubbing, Etc.; Located At: ST211210259 --East Linus Street South Logan Avenue to South Kinnickinnic Avenue Time for Completion: All work on this contract shall be completed by November 21, 2025. The con-tractor is required to work consecu-tively from the start notice date until project completion. Liquidated Damages, per diem: $1000.00/Day The residency requirement for this project is 40% of all_hours worked on the project. One quarter of these hours must be attributable to residents living in the following zip codes: 53204, 53205, 53206, 53208, 53210, 53215, and 53233. The SBE requirement for this project is 25% of the contract base bid. The SBE Compliance Plan (Form A) must be submitted with the bid and is an element of bid responsiveness. SBE certificates must be submitted with the Form A. Incomplete SBE Compliance Plans (Form A) or inaccurate SBE Compliance Plans will not be accepted and will render the bid unresponsive. The apprenticeship requirements for this project are: N/A If this contract is awarded at $500,000 or higher, 25% of all apprentice labor hours must be worked by apprentices certified for participation in the Residents Preference Program and 40% of all apprentice labor hours must be attributed to apprentices liv-ing in the following zip codes: 53204, 53205, 53206, 53208, 53210, 53215, and 53233 The contractor shall specifi-cally note the SBE, residency, and apprenticeship forms for this proj-ect. If the forms are not filled out properly, it will be cause for rejec-tion of the bid. Bid Security Required: Bond Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Cash to accompany bid: 10% of the Contractor's Base Bid. contractor may send a signed/executed copy of the bic bond to the Department of Public Works Contract Office by emailing DPWbids@milwaukee.gov. The original bid bond document must then be submitted by the con- tractor to the Department of Public Works Contract Office in-person on by mail to 841 N Broadway, Rm. 506, Milwaukee, WI 53202, within 24 hours upon being notified that they are the apparent low bidder. Requirements: All Contrac-tors Awarded a Contract Valued at $25,000.00 More Are Required to Participate in Training on the City of Milwaukee's B2gnow Contract Compliance Software Within 30 Days of the Contract Award Date. Throughout the Contract Term, Con-tractors Are Required to Regularly Provide Timely Subcontractor Payment Information in the City's Con-tract Compliance Software.
