Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Guadalupe, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work involves removing existing curb and/or gutter, sidewalk/walkways, driveways, curb ramps, asphalt and aggregate base, concrete pavement and aggregate, monument sign, trees, wall and pillars, various utility services, and railroad car. Installing new concrete curbs, driveway, sidewalks, ramps, reinforced concrete pavement, permeable roman pavers, class 2 aggregate base, signing and striping, new utility services, and other work indicated on the plans. The City of Guadalupe has purchased a ChargePoint charging station for this project. The installation of the charging station must be completed by a ChargePoint Operations and Maintenance Partner ("O&M Partner") or a ChargePoint-certified installer (a licensed electrician who has completed the applicable product-specific training in ChargePoint University). The City has also paid ChargePoint for the commissioning of the charging stations. The contractor will be required to provide installation of the charging station and coordinate with ChargePoint for the commissioning. WORK SCHEDULE: Work must be completed within 100 working days from the Notice to Proceed. BONDS: Each proposal must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or bidder's bond of the prescribed form and made payable to the City of Guadalupe for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, such guaranty to be forfeited, should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to furnish the required bonds and to enter into a contract with the City within ten (10) days after awarding of the contract. The successful contractor will be required to furnish three (3) acceptable surety bonds: one for faithful performance, one for labor and materials, and the other for maintenance following construction. Each bond is to be executed in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price except that the maintenance bond shall be for ten percent (10%) of the contract price and shall remain in effect for one year following acceptance of the project for final payment. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: In accordance with provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 3300, the City has determined that the Contractor shall possess a valid Class A or Class C32 license at the time of award. The Contractor shall be properly licensed at the time the contract is awarded. No contract will be awarded to a Contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9 of Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code. The successful Contractor will be required to obtain a business license from the City and pay related fees. The right is reserved by the City of Guadalupe to reject any or all Bids, to evaluate the Bids submitted, waive any minor irregularities, and award the contract to the lowest responsible Bidder. The City further reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor irregularities in the Bid. Proposals must include all work described in the Contract Documents. Proposals must be made on the proposal forms furnished in the Contract Documents. All other proposal forms will be rejected. Attention of prospective bidders is called to Section 2, "Proposal Requirements and Conditions," within the Contract Documents, for full direction as to bidding and other items.
