The work includes: The reconstruction of a portion of Hickory Point Road between MacArthur Road and Woodland Road and a section of E Weaver Road consisting of pavement removal, preparation of base, PCC pavement, PCC curb and gutter, and other items necessary for the completion of the work. The project also includes Class B Patching along E Weaver Road. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified check, bank draft, or a bid bond, duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Owner, in the amount of 5% of the bid. Such cash, checks or bid bonds will be returned to all except the three lowest bidders within three days after the opening of bids, and the remaining cash, checks or bid bonds will be returned promptly after the Owner and the accepted bidder have executed the contract, or, if no award has been made within 45 days after the date of opening of bids, upon demand of the bidder any time thereafter, so long as he/she had not been notified of the acceptance of his/her bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance-payment bond in the full amount of the bid or proposal. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the said Owner for a period of 45 days after the scheduled time of closing bids.. The said Village of Forsyth, Illinois reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities in bidding.
