Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in McKinleyville, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
Owner seeks Contractor familiar with ADUs/tiny homes to achieve most cost-effective solution. Ms. Marcia Norton, in conjunction with the County of Humboldt's Housing Forward Program, is requesting bids for the construction of an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU): 2466 Jones Avenue, McKinleyville. Background: The County of Humboldt is making a loan to the Owner. The Owner will contract with the selected bidder; however, invoices will be paid directly by the County. 1. Scope: The project is construction of an approximately 800 square foot ADU, including site prep, permitting, connection to community services and other utilities. The ideal bid will be between $100K-$150K. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Owner is open to prefab units. It is understood that the Scope of Work provided is vague. Add items as needed. Owner seeks contractor familiar with ADUs/tiny houses to assist in identifying the most cost-effective solutions to achieve her goal. 7. Bid Guarantee: Bidder shall guarantee his bid for a period of thirty days upon County's receipt of document. If the successful bidder defaults, they may be eliminated from any future proposals concerning County's rehab programs. 8. Performance Guarantee: The Performance Guarantee will be a holdback of ten percent (10%) of the total contract price to be held by the lender until the Owner signs the Notice of Completion. Hold back is deducted from each progress payment request. 9. Scope of Work Changes: All scope of work changes will be signed by the Contractor and the Owner and approved by the County. Due to funding limitations, Owner reserves the right to delete any item on the work writeup and deduct the amount bid for that item from the base bid. For this reason, profit and overhead should be added to each item individually rather than as a single line item. Please specify any required bid additions or costs.
