The DAFT system will consist of one (1) dissolved air flotation thickening (DAFT) system for the City of Caldwell's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The DAFT system will include the 20-foot diameter tank, tank bridge, skimmer mechanism, recycle pump, and other support components for a fully functioning DAFT system. The system will operate in parallel with an existing 20-foot DAFT unit and shall operate at influent waste active sludge flows up to 170 gallons per minute (gpm) at total suspended solids concentrations up to 15,000 mg/L (1.5% solids). The recycle system will include a pressurization recycle pump, pressurization tank, and backpressure control valve. The recycle system shall be designed for a flow of 375 gpm. Solids capture rates should be a minimum of 95% with float concentrations up to 6% solids. Action will be taken by the City of Caldwell (City) within thirty (30) days of the opening date, and the successful bidder will be required to enter into a written contract with the City within ten (10) days after Notice of Acceptance of the bid. Performance Bonds equal to the bid amount are required upon award of Contract.
