The project includes, but is not limited to, installing 1,350 linear feet of 8" SDR 26 PVC gravity sewer and 5 new pre-cast manholes, and converting an existing lift station to a manhole. See the included drawings and specifications for further details. All bids must be made out on the Bid Form bound in the contract documents, and the Bid Form should not be detached from the contract documents. Bids will not be opened from Bidders who have not obtained the contract documents from the City. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount will be required for the successful Bidder. All bidders shall have the applicable licenses to perform the work as described in the plans and specifications within the State of Tennessee. All workmen, operators and laborers on the project shall be paid not less than the minimum hourly rates as permitted by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development Standards Division. The City of Portland reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of City of Portland, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids.
