Description

Site work and new construction of a communication facility in Portland, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the construction of a communication facility.

The City of Portland, Tennessee requests proposals to furnish, install, and commission an automated turnkey emergency warning siren system with a minimum of one audible siren. The solution must be cost effective, modern, reliable, and expandable, with automated activation and monitoring capabilities for public warning. The project seeks outdoor public warning coverage for areas such as parks, downtown, fire halls, and other sites identified during design. The system must be expandable for additional sirens, include integration with mass notification systems, have lightning detection capabilities, and provide clear, itemized pricing including installation, warranty, training, and maintenance. The selected proposer shall provide project management, site evaluation, acoustic/coverage assessment, all necessary design, permitting, utilities coordination, construction, supply and installation of equipment, commissioning, integration with notification systems, training, documentation, and warranty service. Proposals must include details on expandability, automated monitoring and activation, mass notification system integration, itemized costs for deployment and expansion, and information about warranty and ongoing support. Proposers must describe the concept of operations, including alert initiation, system monitoring, failure detection, and maintenance/testing. The City reserves the right to reject any proposals and to waive informalities.
