Site work for a water / sewer project in Leonardtown, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Commissioners of Leonardtown are seeking bids for improvements to storm water facilities at three locations within the Town. A. The work to be performed under this Contract includes furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, supervision, and transportation, and performing all work in strict accordance with these Specifications (the Contract Documents). See Attachment #1, Scope of Work. B. The work shall be performed under contract with, and under the supervision of, the Town of Leonardtown. C. The work shall be completed in all its parts in strict accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract. Any deviation shall be subject to approval by the Town of Leonardtown. See Attachment # 2, Contract Agreement. D. The Contractor shall comply with all requirements of permits issued for the proposed construction and shall be responsible for obtaining all permits necessary to complete the project. E. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility for the project and construction site until accepted by the Town of Leonardtown. F. The Contractor shall deliver a completed project without extra charge unless specifically provided for in the Contract. G. Contract period: 60 calendar days from the issuance of Notice to Proceed. B. The Contractor shall visit the construction sites before submitting a proposal and thoroughly familiarize themselves with all existing conditions, both above and below ground. C. The Contractor shall verify the accuracy and completeness of these Specifications. Drawings are attached as Attachments 4, 5 and 6. D. The Contractor shall account for all site conditions in their bid, to ensure a complete and functional project. See Attachment # 3, Bid Form. E. Any discrepancies in Specifications or field conditions must be reported to the Town at the pre-construction meeting F. The Contractor shall protect all properties from damage and repair, at their own expense, any damage caused to public or private property. G. The Contractor shall keep the premises free from waste materials and leave the work area clean. H. Limits of Disturbance must be reviewed and approved with the Town prior to construction. Three locations are scheduled for stormwater drainage improvements: Academy Hills, Singletree at Moakley; Miss Bessie Drive and Camalier Drive. A. Academy Hill Subdivision: Storm water management improvements to install one double WR Inlet at edge of existing entrance road with approximately sixty (60) linear feet to a proposed standard drop manhole, tying into an existing 24" concrete storm drain pipe. Contractor will need to verify vertical tie in elevation on site prior to installation of drop manhole structure. This project also requires minor grading from the edge of the existing road to existing storm water management structures. The project price should be broken down for each section of proposed grading as well as the installation of storm drain structures. o Item #1 Install WR Inlet, Drop Manhole and install 60+/- linear feet of 16" HDPE o Item #2 Grade from the point on curve edge of Kentucky Court straight grade to existing storm drain structure providing erosion matting and seed for stabilization. o Item #3 Grade from the point on curve edge of south side of Domitilla Court straight grade to existing storm drain structure providing erosion matting and seed for stabilization. o Item #4 Grade from the point on curve edge of North side of Domitilla Court straight grade to existing storm drain structure providing erosion matting and seed for stabilization. B. Singletree Drainage Stabilization: Stabilize two existing drainage ditches, including stump removal, underbrush clearing, grading, Mirafi filter cloth installation, and Class II riprap placement. Disturbed areas must be seeded and stabilized. C. Camalier Drive: The purpose of this project is to manage the existing water flow from the impervious surface's upslope of the existing road. Scope of services includes but not limited to the installation of: o Three (3) double WR Inlets, with approximately 252 linear feet of 18" smooth bore HDPE and approximately 68 linear feet of 24" HDPE with an end section and 10' of rip/rap as an outfall. o This project will require marking of existing water, sewer lines and various underground utilities. o This project will require installation of 24" HDPE in steep slopes, the removal and replacement of an existing concrete driveway apron to original look. Contract period: 60 calendar days from the issuance of Notice to Proceed. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, vary the specifications of those set forth, and impose such additional or further specifications as, in its discretion, it determines to be in the public interest.
