Roof Area of Approximately 21,420 sqft Each applicant will provide a list of references with contact information, as well as a list of completed projects of the same size and scope of what is proposed. Include all equipment Materials Labor Insurance (liability, workmen's comp, auto, property, etc.) Overhead and profit For the installation of a roof over the existing metal roof. Remove any debris from the roof, and install expanded polystyrene in the flutes of the existing roof to infill flutes. Install 1/2 " high-density polyisocyanurate rigid insulation board over the entire roof with screw and plate fasteners. Install a new 60 mil TPO membrane over the entire roof area that will be white in color. The roof will be mechanically fastened to the existing metal roof to ensure proper wind uplift. Roofing material is to be run over the edge and into the gutter system and terminated with prefinished metal flashing. Flash all existing roof penetrations per the manufacturer's requirement. Coordinate with the District Technology Department about the PTP Equipment on the roof. Bids will include the removal and replacement of the solar panels on the lower roof area. (Solar system was installed by Acme Electric out of Cedar Rapids.) The roof will have a minimum of a 20-year warranty Each bidder submitting a formal bid shall accompany the bid with a Bid Security, in a separate envelope, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of the contract corporate surety bond or bonds, acceptable to the Owner, for the faithful per-formance of the contract, in an amount equivalent to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bidder's security shall be five (5%) percent of the bid amount, and shall be in the form of a cashier's or certified check drawn on a bank in Iowa or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America, or a certified bank share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States of America or a bid bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner. It is the intent of the Owner to award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder meeting specifications, provided the bid has been submitted in accordance with the bidding requirements. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof, and to waive any informalities or irregularities and enter into such contracts or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interest of North Scott Community School District.
