Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work shall consist of spot repairs to the sanitary and storm sewer systems, including a 12" flared storm sewer connection, one catch basin installation, and approximately 300 linear feet of curb and gutter, at locations shown on the contract drawings or as directed by the City or City's authorized representative. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Illinois payable without condition to the Owner in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount as a guarantee that the Bidder will within fifteen (15) days after the date of the award of a contact execute an agreement and file bond and insurance as required by the Contract Documents if their Bid is accepted . The successful bidder shall furnish, in manner and form acceptable to the City, a payment bond in the full amount of the Contract guaranteeing payment of all material used and for all labor performed. Bids will only be received from qualified contractors. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the proposals without the consent of the Mayor and City Council for a period of forty-five days after the end of the bidding period. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities, to postpone the bid opening, or to advertise for new proposals, if in the judgment of the Mayor and City Council their best interests will be promoted thereby.
