The County of Galveston is seeking a vendor to provide Hot Mix Asphalt to various locations throughout the Galveston County. Potential Bidders must register through online to participate electronically. "Walk-in" or "mailed-in" proposal submittals are still allowed, however, Bidders are strongly encouraged to submit their proposals online Submittal Instructions: Sealed bids in sets of two (2), one (1) single-sided unbound original and one (1) single-sided copy will be received in the office of the County Purchasing Agent, and opened immediately in that office in the presence of the Galveston County Auditor and the Purchasing Agent. The timestamp clock located in the Purchasing Agent's office shall serve as the official timekeeping piece for this solicitation process. Any bid received after deadline on the specified date will be returned unopened. All bids must be marked on the outside of the envelope: ITB 25-062, Hot Mix Asphalt Bidders name, return address, and the enclosed label should be prominently displayed on the bid package for identification purposes. Submitted prices, if required and applicable, shall be either lump sum or unit prices as shown on bid sheets. The net price shall be delivered to Galveston County, including all freight, shipping, and license fees. Galveston County is tax-exempt, and no taxes should be included in proposal pricing. Bond Requirements: There is no bond required with this Invitation to Bid. Debarment and Suspension: To participate in this solicitation, respondent certifies that neither it, nor any of its Principals, are presently debarred, suspended, proposed for debarment, disqualified, excluded, or in any way declared ineligible for the award of contracts by any Federal agency. All contractors/ subcontractors that are debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. The Galveston County Commissioners' Court reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid or bids which, in its opinion, is most advantageous to Galveston County.
