Project Description: The project consists of construction of an ATCT with a single story base building roughly 17,868 square feet in size. The combined facility will be erected on an approximately 5 acre site. The ATCT and TRACON/Base Building will be compliant with International Building Code (IBC) Risk Category IV. The ATCT is 187 feet (ft) Above Ground Level (AGL) to the top of the structure. The structure has, to include appurtenances, with 12 levels and will be constructed from structural precast concrete panels and structural steel. The ATCT shaft will have two egress staircases and two elevators. The 12-sided cab is 679 square feet and is situated such that eye level elevation is 178 ft AGL. Below the cab are four occupied levels containing the console access level, junction level (including a break room and restrooms), electronics equipment level, and spaces for electrical and mechanical equipment. A guardrail which can also serve an antennae ring is situated on the roof above the cab. The TRACON/Base Building will contain administrative offices, bathrooms, conference rooms, shipping and receiving space, storage space, fire protection system space, air handlers, the TRACON, equipment racks, electrical space and the critical power distribution system which includes one engine generator, one facility Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) with battery rack, automatic transfer switches, and critical power panel space.
