The project is expected to be awarded on December 8,2025.** Sealed bids will be accepted by Los Angeles County Public Works, Project Management Division III, for the installation of approximately 400-linear-feet of 18-inch-diameter steel waterline and, removal of approximately 420-linear feet of temporary aboveground / shallow buried portions of 16-inch High-Density Polyethylene bypass waterline, and the performance of other appurtenant work under Project ID No. WWD2900090, Trancas Creek Crossing Permanent Waterline (Phase II) in the City of Malibu. Pursuant to State Public Contract Code section 3400, the Board of Supervisors made a finding that the flexible expansion joints are designated by specific brand name to match other products in use on a particular public improvement either completed or in the course of completion. The project Plans and Specifications designate the flexible expansion joints to be manufactured by EBAA Iron. PROJECT LOCATION The Trancas Creek Bridge Replacement Project (Project) is located on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) at Trancas Creek Bridge (Bridge No. 53-0027). The Project is located between post mile 56.5 to 57.5 adjacent to Trancas Creek a tributary to the Pacific Ocean, in the City of Malibu, County of Los Angeles, State of California; Latitude 34.014752, Longitude -118.502982 Section 35S, Township Malibu, Range 19W, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) map Pt. Dume, base and meridian San Bernardino; Assessor s Parcel Number 4469-027-901. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to improve the safety of PCH by replacing the Trancas Creek Bridge (Bridge No. 53 0027) in the City The work is estimated to cost between $1,700,000 and $2,500,000 and shall be completed in 110 working days *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
