For the conduit portion of this project, work will generally consist of installing HDPE conduit in a joint trench with the communication conduits on the west side of the road. Shallow bedrock may likely be encountered. The wiring for the electrical will be done after the project by the Town's electrical contractor. The two communications companies (Lumen/Centurylink and Lyons Communications) will provide the conduit and the contractor shall install it. For the waterline portion of the project, the work will generally consist of installing a new 8" waterline as close as possible to the existing 4" waterline, reconnect all the taps, install a new fire hydrant, airvacuum valve and vault, and remove the existing waterline after reconnection. Bedrock is generally lower on this side of the street but may be encountered in areas. The working is being divided into two phases. The first phase, Phase I, consists of installing all the conduit pull boxes and communication stub outs along Ewald Ave along with the waterline. Phase II consist of the conduit services to each home.
