Roofing, HVAC, and utility infrastructure have surpassed their useful life, while accessibility and energy efficiency no longer meet modern standards. These deficiencies have resulted in regular disruptions, high maintenance costs, and limited functionality for instructional and athletic programs. Together, the three buildings total 69,696 gross square feet (GSF). The new facility will provide 2,400 assignable square feet (ASF) of lecture space, 3,693 ASF of lab space, 4,478 ASF of office space, and 39,604 ASF for physical education and other uses. Given the central location and unique nature of the physical education program, careful coordination of demolition and construction activities will be essential to minimize disruption to campus operations and ensure safety throughout the project.
