Renovation of a mixed-use development in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a office development.
Reference Number 0000398023 The University of Utah (the U or the University) seeks a qualified Technology Integration partner (Contractor / Integrator) to construct a new broadcast and venue production facility. The University has approved the renovation of a legacy broadcast and production space, located within the Language and Communication building (LNCO), to support increasing needs as the University moves to the Big 12 Conference. This facility is a joint venture between University Athletics, University Auxiliary Services, and the College of Humanities. This new facility will support live event production (stadium/arena video boards), broadcasting, post-production, as well as education and curriculum under the direction of University Athletics and the College of Humanities, Department of Communication. The architectural / physical renovation of this space is currently in progress under an associated CMGC scope of work, estimated $2,500,000. A preliminary budget of $8,000,000 has been approved for the initial phase of technology integration within this project. Please see the attached Scope of Technical Integration for details of this request. The University of Utah reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the University. The University is entering into a Multi-Step Bidding Process for Construction Services. A short-listing of Contractors will be based on the evaluation of proposals submitted and the selection criteria outlined in the solicitation documents contained herein. Short-listed Contractors will be invited to submit bids on the project. The only Contractors allowed to bid on this project will be Contractors short-listed by the selection committee. All Contractors responding to this procurement must comply with and require all of their Subcontractors to comply with the license laws as required by the State of Utah.
