The contract will consist of the following: In general, the Project consists of the construction of a 300,000 gallon multi-leg elevated water storage tank with mixer and approximately 600 LF of 8-inch water main (Ductile Iron and PVC) including valves, fittings, hydrant, asphalt access drive, and connections to an existing utility water main. A control valve vault is included at a separate site to include 8" water main (Ductile Iron), an electric control valve, manual valves, fittings, and a sump pump. Electrical and I&C work at the tank and control valve is through a separate bid package (Division B). Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond made payable to the Owner, in a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the highest aggregate bid The bond will be in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price and must be in full force and effect throughout the term of the Construction Contract plus a period of twelve (12) months from the date of substantial completion. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid, or all bids, or to accept any bid or bids, or to make such combination of bids as may seem desirable, and to waive any and all formalities in bidding Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
