The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is an agency within the Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) system. The Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC administers solicitations for HHS. PCS, on behalf of the Maintenance and Construction Department of the Health and Specialty Care System (HSCS) division, issues this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to solicit qualifications from a Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMR) interested in providing consultation, construction and administrative services during the planning and design, pre-construction and construction, closeout and warranty phase services for Project 24-011-BSH Central Kitchen Renovations in Big Spring, Texas. Project Description The Project includes complete renovation of Building 534, Central Kitchen, including but not limited to replacing: rusted windows containing asbestos/lead, rusted door jambs and doors, dry stock refrigerator, dining hall flooring with asbestos, all air handling units (AHU) and above ceiling fan coil unit (FCU), rusted drop ceiling track system, damaged kitchen flooring, deteriorating sewer line, grease trap, steam line and hot water insulation. Reconfiguration of kitchen equipment and overall spatial layout for efficiency and flow of service, reconfiguration of dining room for patient safety. Renovation of patient restrooms must be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and ligature resistant. Renovation of staff restrooms. During construction a temporary kitchen will be required to ensure continuous service.
